The ongoing board examinations are keeping the students busy with preparation across the country. There are mixed emotions among the students as some feel the pressure of one of the biggest events in their lives while others say that they are well prepared to face the examination. India Today team spoke to some students, appearing for their first board exam tomorrow. Pranav, who studies humanities at Spring Dales School said, “I am a bit nervous but I’m ready to take up the challenge, I got everything scheduled 2 months back about how I’m going to study and it had helped me a lot.”
Pranav’s father, sitting calmly beside him, said, “Children these days are well aware of how they’re going to do things. Of course, we are careful whenever he studies for long hours without eating, his mother gives him fruits so that he doesn’t stay hungry. We just supported him in whatever he needs.” Another girl named Mansi and her sister Aarti are class 12th student at DPS, R K Puram. They believe that preparations are never perfect.
“No matter how many times I’ve completed the syllabus, I still have this feeling that I’m missing out something or other, so it’s always a good option to remain confident and go for it,” said Aarti. Her sister, Mansi, on the other, said she’s not as studious, so it’s not possible for her to study for long hours. “I believe in doing smart study and study only those which my tutor has guided me that this particular question will definitely come in the paper,” she said.
When asked about how they deal with stress, both smiled and said, “There is no so-called stress buster for us, we love playing piano and we’ve been learning this since 3rd grade and whenever we get time or feel burdened while studying, we prefer to play the piano keyboard because whenever we play piano, it just refreshes our minds and we sit back to study with a fresh mind.” The board exams have started and the students are all set to give their best. They also believe that family support while studying made things easier for them at the same time taking small breaks in between to refresh their mind helped them to grasp things easily and prepare for the board exam accordingly.
